Forming legal entities such as corporations and limited liability companies in entertainment often involves the consideration of intellectual property, third party investors, and sometimes involves minor children. My office, together with a select group of corporate attorneys, counsel the client regarding the most appropriate options for individual projects.

It seems as though every scenario is different when forming independent companies for the commercial exploitation of client creations. Some examples are when music clients decide to establish a “mom and pop/vanity” record label to sell their recordings, others may launch a KICKSTARTER or INDEGOGO campaign for a TV, film or music project, some have angel investors.
