As a published author, I empathize with my clients both from the creative and legal/business aspects. Writing a book, no matter what context or topic, is a labor of love which takes painstaking commitment, organizational skills, and imagination. In the new media era, interactive rights present new issues and I’ve found my background in music and IP extremely helpful. It’s also amazing that clients can now self publish with ease and pursue independent opportunities with the exploitation of electronic publishing rights.
